% Converts geodetic latitude and longitude to r for an ellipsoidal planet.
 The default for f is the flattening factor for the earth. The default
 for type is geodetic.

 Type LatLonToR for a demo.

   Form:
   r = LatLonToR( lat, lon, f, a, type )
